This place is actually a disgrace to the Johnston County area! They sell you *** cars that are salvaged and semi put back together. Your insurance will drop you. You will have many hidden issues with your car or truck. They will come take your vehicle in a heart beat. THEY ARE CROOKS! HILLBILLY UNPROFESSIONAL NASTY CROOKS!! SAVE YOUR MONEY. Go where you are appreciated as a customer and not looked down upon because you need a vehicle. Dont be someone coming through as their next victim. BECAUSE I PROMISE YOU THAT YOU WILL REGRET IT. You can see right through their lies. You have been warned!!

The first day I walked in there, all I can remember seeing was unprofessional staff, a nasty place, unorganized environment, and staff is run by a family but they're all ignorant. They say that theyll help you finance a vehicle easily but as soon as one little thing they think goes wrong with the car, they will come to get it and then throw repo fees and other hidden fees at you. They lie to your face and since the staff is the owners its always their word over yours even if they are wrong (most of the times). DO NOT go here. Im warning u all from experience RECENTLY. No one will take time to tell u this if it wasnt true. These reviews are posted for a REASON.

Theyll tell you one thing and then when you call back to follow up about it, its something completely different. They will lie to your face and pressure people about making their payments. They are just after your money, rude, disrespectful, and are obviously not legit. Dont be fooled. Go to a real car lot thats more professional. From personal experience, i definitely would not recomend them. Its not just out of repo anger, these people are a family business but a very dishonest family.

I found out my Lincoln had a salvage title after i switched insurance company, but the car did not give me any real problems. Mrs. Kathy was always nice and friendly to me. When i fell into a bind i would let her know, and made sure i was there the next week to pay her. I paid my car off, and i still have it. I will go back to buy me a newer Lincoln in the near future.

If you are looking for a good place to get a used vehicle shop here first. I had the best treatment in obtaining a truck from them and they were excellent in working with me to get it.

From the financing, test driving and the trust in working with you. I would like to give a special shout out to Jim for believing in me to obtain the vehicle. Most dealers in the area I have tried working with would not even give you a second look.

Roger, the finance manager and what he was able to work out for our financing and going the extra to insure that the deal goes thru for you, and Doug for believing that there are still good people out there. Thank You all and have a Blessed Holiday I know I will.

SAVE YOUR MONEY! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!

Bought a car from here. Everything was all nice until they showed their second faces.

Their cars are salvaged. They will look nice and seem nice until you actual use it. They really know how to doctor it up. Had my car a month and it fell apart.

Took it too the mechanic and was told the car had a blown head gasket. When contacting Kathy at Sauls she was very very rude and refused to help in anyway. DO NOT GO HERE!

THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER CAR LOTS THAT ARE ACTUALLY HONEST! Sauls is only out to get your money.

I agree. I brought a car from them also.

Found out after I switched from Progressive to Nationwide that car had salvaged title. I was disappointed, but I had the car almost paid off.

The car hasn't given me any real problems because I try to take care of it. I just want dealers to be honest and let me decide whether or not I want to buy it.

Resolved: RUN while you still can

Updated by user Nov 05, 2015

Saul's and I reached an agreement which works for both of us. Which I believe if fair and reasonable.

Original review Nov 03, 2015
On 9/26/15 I bought a 2004 Nissan Murano from Saul Auto associate, Omar and mechanic Brantley. While waiting to purchase the vehicle I asked the mechanic about the car and he said it was in good condition, low maintenance with all the fluids topped off and had that it had been recently serviced. Since we needed a second vehicle to be able to get our child to the caregivers along with ourselves to work I paid $500 down with the option to pay another $500 by 10/10/15, which was paid 10/7/10. So the total deposit was $1000. At that time I made Omar and Brantley aware that this vehicle was being purchased to be an asset to help our family get stable. Brantley also repeating stated “if you have any problems or need anything give me a call.” So the day of 25Oct2015 I was driving the vehicle when it began to run hot and shut down in the middle of Capital Boulevard with myself, my 5 month old and my boyfriend in the car. I was able to get the car to roll into the driveway of a gas station where it was smoking and would not crank. At that time we began to assess the vehicle and realized it was not something we could fix. I called AAA who towed the vehicle to Pep Boys. Pep Boys notified us that day that it was the engine. They did not even pull the vehicle into the garage bc they knew it needed to go back to the dealer. The dealer was closed on Sunday so the vehicle could not be towed then so the next day I placed a call to Saul’s and was told to tow the car there and they would take a look and help me out. At the time they stated that it was likely not the engine “a lot of times those companies like Pep Boys do not know if it’s the engine or not. It could be something else.” The car was towed to Saul’s by Hollywood Towing on Monday, 26 October which would have made the 30 days. I placed a call on Monday evening asking if they would take a look at the car and they responded saying no one had time it was late in the evening but they would take a look on Tuesday. On Tuesday I spoke to a mechanic and he stated it was likely the engine and the car was low on oil. I asked him at that time what the car being low on oil had to do with the car over heating which I received no response. He said at that time that I could buy an engine from them for $3000 plus labor and that Doug could help me purchase that. I asked how I could be responsible for engine along with repairs when I did not have the car 30 days. No answer was given so I told him at that point my step father, Jerry Gulley would follow up with him the next day which was October 28, Wednesday, on that day Jerry went down to Saul’s and saw the car had not been pulled into the garage or adequately assessed. The mechanic stated that he had not run a compression test to verify if the engine was truly damaged or what caused the vehicle to overheat but with “experience a s a world class mechanic” he knew the engine was damaged. At the time Jerry asked him to run the test and also how they (Saul’s) would help in this situation seeing as we only had the car a few weeks. Again, they mentioned the purchase of an engine or another vehicle. Jerry responded to them that they should follow up with him 29October after they ran the test. So, October 29, 2015 came and went with no call from Saul’s Automotive. I called them October 30, 2015 to ask about the status of the vehicle at that time the mechanic Brantley stated that he had run the compression test and head gaskets on the engine were blown. He also stated that I should follow up with Omar as it related to pricing of a new engine or the purchase of another vehicle. I relayed Brantley that the reason or the car was to be an asset and that at this point it had become a liability and at this point my stepdad would follow up because I did not know a lot about cars or engines. Now we are at a standstill with one car once again which the point of the purchase was to have 2 vehicles. I feel that Saul’s knew the engine was bad and took advantage of the situation now when I call they do not answer or they pass the call around to multiple individuals including but not limited to Kathy, Rick, Doug, and Brantley. I had used and recommended their services before but will NEVER recommend them again.

In respect to our customer and to our you had this car for 28 days if the car that we sold you and if it had any issues with the cooling system the car would have not lasted for 28 days. It would not lasted 5 days the problem was after we had a chance to look at it and do a compression test we came to relies that the car was driven hot and the radiator had a crack, this could have been caused from anything from the road, but what have could have caused the engine not to go bad if you had stopped the car once you relies that it was running hot. Even though you had purchased the car without any type of warranty our dealership stood behind our product and help pay for half of the engine and the labor on installing it for you and give you a six month warranty on parts and labor which you had agreed and was satisfied with.

THIS COMPANY IS AS FAKE AS THEY CAN GET. DO NOT TRUST THEM! THEY WILL SELL YOU JUNK AND STEAL YOUR MONEY. THEY ARE RUDE AND LIARS. IF YOU GET IN A BIND THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR CAR THE FIRST CHANCE THEY GET. THEY ARE COLD HEARTED LIARS. THIS IS A DIRTY BUSINESS. MS KATHY IS A RUDE HEARTLESS INDIVIDUAL. HER SMILE IS THE FAKEST I HAVE SEEN. SO SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR A COMPANY THAT IS LOOKING TO KEEP CUSTOMERS AND SELL YOU SOMETHING THEY BELIEVE IN. NOT JUST A COMPANY LOOKING TO STEAL YOUR MONEY. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS BUT THERE ARE CAR LOTS THAT DO.

its about time someone does! The reviews here are terrible.

OBVIOUSLY this company has issues. As a business owner you must treat people with respect not treat them like trash once you get their money. I am surprised someone hasn't previously taken them to court. You are correct.

From what I have gathered here they are racist scammers liars and thieves. Its ok what comes around goes around.

WARNING - DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company. The car I purchased was salvaged and immediately took a ***. There are plenty of honest car lots in Johnston county but this is NOT one of them. Even if you are desperate due to credit DO NOT GO THERE!! UNLESS YOU LIKE TO GIVE YOUR MONEY AWAY. I learned from my mistake. Now I have only had the car 3 weeks and it is sitting in my driveway with blown head gaskets! BEWARE!!!!
